Nintendo 3DS GalleryThe Nintendo 3DS hasn’t been nearly as successful as hoped since its release. After an initial surge of interest, sales tapered off and have continued to fall. The company has now taken the drastic step of reducing the price of the device. In the states, the machine will command a RRP of just $170 – a huge drop from its initial release price of $250. In fact, the price cut has even prompted Nintendo chief, Satoru Iwata, to issue an apology to early purchasers. Never before has the game manufacturer had to discount a device so early after its release. (more…)
