As we reported back in March, all the signs point to an autumn release for the next version of Apple’s big-selling iPad. We even questioned back then whether Apple would be bold enough to repeat the ‘late 2009’ iPod scandal, when Apple customers were sold 2nd generation iPods believing them to be 3rd generation. What the iPhone 5 might possibly look like.Usually around now, Apple comes out with a hardware update, but it hasn’t happened this year. Most tech pundits are confident that the new iPhone will come in September with an updated operating system – iOS5. iOS5 is expected to add modifications which copy much of what Android has and iOS now lacks, such as non-disruptive notifications, social network integration and the ability to stream cloud-based music. Some concertgoers see it as a nuisance, but it’s something many of us has done at one time or another.
