GameStop Vice President: The Sony PSP is the biggest disappointment of 2010

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Bob McKenzie, GameStop’s senior Vice President of merchandising and marketing, has said the Sony PSP is the biggest disappointment of 2010.

When asked to find a failure in the gaming industry this year, McKenzie, of the videogame retailer, labelled the game console Sony PSP.

Reasons of complaint focused around the lack of quality new releases this year and their inability to compete with the app market.

“If I were to pick a disappointment, the only thing would be looking at the number of titles that launched on the PSP format compared to the prior year,” McKenzie told video game publication Eurogamer in a recent interview.
