Rumours are rife in the cyber world about what the potential Sony PSP2 will have in store, and when it will be unveiled.
The latest internet musings seem to point towards a Christmas 2011 release for the next-gen handheld gadget.
Sony have applied for patents which suggest an inclusion of pinch-to-zoom skills, as well as plans to include a trackpad which would handle touchscreen swipes without you having to prod the panel itself. GameStop Vice President: The Sony PSP is the biggest disappointment of 2010

Bob McKenzie, GameStop’s senior Vice President of merchandising and marketing, has said the Sony PSP is the biggest disappointment of 2010.
When asked to find a failure in the gaming industry this year, McKenzie, of the videogame retailer, labelled the game console Sony PSP.
Reasons of complaint focused around the lack of quality new releases this year and their inability to compete with the app market.
“If I were to pick a disappointment, the only thing would be looking at the number of titles that launched on the PSP format compared to the prior year,” McKenzie told video game publication Eurogamer in a recent interview.
PSP Prices Slashed in Time For Christmas

EA’s senior vice president Patrick Soderlund has confessed to CVG that the PSP2 exists and that they have had access to it.
Rumours of Sony’s new handheld have been sprawled around games news sites recently but no major publisher has admitted that it has seen the device – until now.
According to CVG, EA’s Soderlund was asked if he had any exposure at all to the technology to which he replied: “Well, obviously as a developer we have had that – but I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
